Green Machine, Whitney Point, New York, is deploying its new 96-inch Green Eye optical sorters at Bayshore Recycling in Keasby, New Jersey. The Bayshore Recycling team has been processing containers and fibers with Green Machine’s Green Eye optical sorters as part of its single-stream recycling system for years. The larger belt size will increase the facility’s processing capabilities without jeopardizing its high-purity end product.
Compared with Green Machine’s 60-inch and 84-inch-wide Green Eye accelerator conveyors, the new 96-inch-wide conveyor is designed to handle more material without compromising speed or accuracy. Real-time data collection enables faster belt speeds of more than 1,000 feet per minute, reaching sort rates up to 10 tons per hour. Green Machine attributes the unparalleled throughput and accuracy of Green Eye optical sorters to their patented hyperspectral static vision systems, which replace a rotating mirror system used in other devices.
Using Green Eye optical sorters, Bayshore Recycling is able to achieve a No. 58 grade fiber in its single-stream and commercial waste processing systems.
Improved system maintenance access and material acceleration air systems have additionally enhanced the company’s Green Eye performance.
