The Northeast's Greenest Fully Automated Recycling Plant

The Northeast's Greenest Fully Automated Recycling Plant

Twin Bridges Recycling LLC, Clifton Park, New York, is preparing to launch the Northeast’s greenest recycling plant in New York’s Capital Region in early November.

Scott Earl, owner of Twin Bridges, says the launch of its latest recycling system represents the culmination of more than 35 years of experience in the waste processing industry. Earl chose to work with Green Machine, Whitney Point, New York, on this environmentally friendly project because of the successful track record the two companies have working together in the past.

Green Machine says it's confident that its seven patented Green Eye optical sorters will produce the Northeast’s cleanest sorted fiber stream. Additionally, i-BOT robotic sorters will be integrated into the system where needed, post initial startup.

This environmentally clean, highly automated commercial and residential single-stream recycling system will operate exclusively on natural gas generators built by Caterpillar, while all rolling stock will be electric. Natural gas generators are an environmentally friendly choice because of their lower emissions of carbon dioxide and other harmful pollutants. Lower levels of noise pollution and odor are other benefits of the new facility.
